Garbage Collection

The Village of East Troy contracts for residential garbage and recycling collection with John's Disposal Service Inc. Garbage collection is every Tuesday and recycling is every other Tuesday. Calendar schedules are available on John's Disposal's website.

The charge for garbage collection for the prior year is placed on the property tax bill as a separate item. This collection fee is assessed per residential unit per address. John's Disposal will supply the collection bins, or toters, for both garbage and recycling to be compatible with their automated collection system. The toters are assigned by serial number to the address delivered and should stay with the address should the resident change.
