NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING IN THE MATTER OF STATE AND FEDERAL AID FOR THE IMPROVEMENTS AT

EAST TROY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

 

The Village of East Troy Village Board will conduct a public hearing on Monday, December 16, 2024, to consider petitioning the State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation, for state and federal aid to undertake the following development at the East Troy Municipal Airport. The character, extent, and kind of improvements desired under the project are as follows: Mark airfield pavements; Airfield Pavement Maintenance; Turf Runway Maintenance; Rehabilitate I reconstruct Taxiway B and Hangar Taxilanes; Construct aviation mechanic shop / Snow removal equipment building; Purchase Snow Removal Equipment (SRE); Replace runway and taxiway lighting; Update Airport Layout Plan; Expand hangar area; Purchase mowing equipment; Adopt land use zoning ordinance; Conduct wildlife site assessment; Justification/Feasibility study for runway extension; Construct helipad; Expand Apron; Extend primary runway and its parallel taxiway to 5000', including lighting; Install perimeter fence; Clear runway approaches as stated in Wis. Admin. Code Trans §55 and Any necessary related work

 

Notice is hereby given that the Village of East Troy will hold a public hearing at 6:30 pm, on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Village Municipal Building, located at 2015 Energy Drive. The public hearing will be conducted in the order listed on the meeting agenda.

 

All interested persons are invited to attend and present their views on the need for the proposed airport development.
