The Village of East Troy is governed by the Village Board of  7 elected members with 2-year terms that have staggered expiration dates.  The Board is responsible for the executive, legislative and administrative duties of the Village. They meet the 1st and 3rd Mondays, at 6:30 PM in the Board Room at the Village Hall.

The Airport Advisory Committee meets the second Monday of the month at 6pm at the FBO of the East Troy Municipal Airport.

The Booth Lake Memorial Park Board meets the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm in Meeting Room B at the Village of East Troy Municipal Building, North entrance.

The Plan Commission  is a board of 7 members appointed by the Village Board.  They meet the second Monday of the month, at 6:30 PM in the Board Room at the Village Hall. The Plan Commission is involved with the master plan for the physical development of the municipality and makes recommendations to the Village Board related to that plan and on the location and architectural design of buildings and other projects.  The Commission also reviews and makes recommendations on rezoning requests, annexations of land, subdivision plats, zoning ordinances, text amendment, certified survey maps and conditional use requests.
