ADMINISTRATION:

The Village Administrator is the chief administrative officer of the Village and is appointed by the Village Board to oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the Village. The Village Clerk is also appointed by the Village Board and is responsible for the the statutory duties of the Clerk. Responsibilities carried out by the Administrator and administrative staff include: 

  • Advising the Village Board of the village’s current financial condition and future financial needs in order to maintain high quality services and facilities
  •  Assisting with workforce development
  • Providing leadership for the organization by executing the Village Board’s policies, ordinances, resolutions and service objectives
  • Working with the Village Board, staff and citizens to establish and implement long-range goals and objectives
  •  Attending all Village Board meetings and reports directly to the Village Board on all matters of municipal operations
  • Prepares agendas, minutes and ensures that meetings are conducted in accordance with Wisconsin open meeting laws
  • Oversees local elections, including voter registration, providing nomination papers to prospective candidates, and administering the Oaths of Office to newly elected trustees and coordinating appointments to the village’s commissions and committees.
  • Is responsible for publishing ordinances and updates to the Municipal Code.
  • Is responsible for maintaining for permanent record contracts and documents resulting from Board action.
  • Provides a professional link between the citizens, the local governing bodies and agencies of government at other levels.

 

The Administration office strives to deliver the best possible service to the residents, Village Board, and to other departments of the Village of East Troy, while carrying out the duties and responsibilities required of the office by Wisconsin State Statutes, Ordinances and Resolutions.

Services: The Administration office is ready to serve you with information about: elections, voter registration, licensing and permits, Village Board agendas and minutes, all other boards, committees, commissions, our website, taxes, dog licenses and general information about Village programs and services.  Our office handles the daily functions of accounting, record keeping and maintenance of the Municipal Code, .
